If you already recommend servers to people, a client, a community, the readers of a tutorial, you can be paid for it. The NexonHost hosting affiliate program pays you 10% of every payment a customer you refer makes, for as long as their service stays active. Joining is free and takes one click in the client area. This guide covers the terms, what earns commission and what does not, what 10% is actually worth on real prices, and how money moves from a click to your payout.
The terms, in one table
| Term | What it is |
|---|---|
| Commission | 10% of each payment for the referred service |
| How long | Every renewal, for as long as the service stays active |
| Commission hold | 15 days after each payment |
| Minimum withdrawal | €100 |
| Tracking | A cookie that lasts up to 90 days after the first visit |
| Cost to join | Free; no sign-up bonus |
The commission is recurring by default. A customer who rents a server for three years earns you 10% of every monthly invoice in those three years, not just the first one.
What earns commission, and what does not
The program runs on WHMCS, the billing system behind my.nexonhost.com, and follows its commission rules.
Earns commission:
- Every product and service we sell: dedicated servers, Linux VPS, DDoS protection plans and the rest.
- The options chosen on the order form, such as a bigger DDoS tier, extra bandwidth or more IP addresses. They are part of the service price, so they are part of your 10%.
- A setup fee, if the service has one. It counts toward the first commission only; renewals are based on the recurring price.
Does not earn commission:
- Domain names and product addons.
- Upgrade and downgrade orders. When a referred customer moves to a bigger plan, your future commissions follow the new price, but the upgrade order itself pays nothing.
- Your own purchases. Ordering through your own link does not pay you a commission.
What 10% is worth on real prices
The examples below use monthly-term list prices from our product pages on 30 October 2026, before VAT. Check the pages for current prices.
| Referred service | Price a month | Your 10% a month | Your 10% a year | Months to reach €100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NEX1 Linux VPS | €9 | €0.90 | €10.80 | 112 |
| 2× Xeon E5-2630 v4 dedicated | €129 | €12.90 | €154.80 | 8 |
| AMD EPYC 9254 dedicated | €449 | €44.90 | €538.80 | 3 |
| Same EPYC plus the 500 Gbps DDoS tier | €598 | €59.80 | €717.60 | 2 |
Two things fall out of the arithmetic. One VPS customer alone takes over nine years to reach the payout minimum, so VPS referrals pay off in volume, not one at a time. And one dedicated server customer reaches €100 within a year. The €129 build gets there in eight months, the EPYC 9254 in three.
If a referred customer orders with a promotional discount, a percentage commission shrinks with it: 10% of a discounted invoice is 10% of the discounted amount.
From click to payout
- Share your referral link. It is on the Affiliate Program panel of your client area dashboard.
- A visitor clicks it. A cookie remembers the referral for up to 90 days, so they do not have to buy that day. They have to order from the same browser.
- They order and pay. Your 10% appears as a pending commission straight away.
- The 15-day hold. After 15 days the commission moves to your available balance, as long as the service is still active. The same hold applies to every renewal.
- Withdraw at €100. Once your available balance reaches €100, request a withdrawal from the affiliate page. The request goes to our sales and billing team, who contact you to arrange the payout.
Take the EPYC customer. If they pay on 1 November, €44.90 sits pending until 16 November. After their third monthly payment on 1 January clears its hold on 16 January, your balance is €134.70 and you can withdraw.
Rules worth knowing before you start
- Refunds reverse commission. Our Terms of Service allow a one-time refund within 24 hours on a customer's first service. If that refund is made in full, the commission on it is reversed. The 15-day hold exists so that this happens before you can withdraw, not after.
- No active service, no commission. If a service is cancelled, suspended or terminated before its hold ends, that commission is dropped.
- Currency follows your account. If your client account is in RON or USD, commissions are converted at the current exchange rate, and so is the €100 minimum.
- The live numbers are yours to see. The affiliate page shows visitors referred, sign-ups, conversion rate, pending commissions, available balance and the total withdrawn, updated in real time.
Affiliate or reseller?
If you want to sell servers under your own brand, that is a different program. Here is how they compare:
| Affiliate program | Reseller program | |
|---|---|---|
| Who the customer pays | NexonHost | You |
| Who supports the customer | NexonHost | You |
| What you earn | 10% of every payment | Your margin over your agreed prices |
| Money you put in | None | Prepaid credit |
| How you join | One click in the client area | Talk to sales, then integrate the API |
The affiliate program suits people with an audience or advice to give and no wish to run billing or support. The dedicated server reseller program suits hosting companies and MSPs who want the customer relationship for themselves.
Who the hosting affiliate program suits
It suits agencies and freelancers who set up infrastructure for clients, sysadmins who get asked "which host should I use?", game and community admins who rent servers for their groups, and anyone who writes tutorials about Linux, self-hosting or DDoS protection. It does not suit anyone hoping to earn from their own orders, or from traffic sent to a page that never leads to an order.
